Over the last week we have had an encouraging number of readers participate in Indie Auto’s fundraising drive. These have included previous donors as well as new ones.
Some donors offered comments. For example, DC wrote: “Indie Auto is my favorite car site, and has really opened a whole new world of history for me. I really appreciate your work!”
Meanwhile, CP stated: “I hope that there are enough others that feel as I do so that you continue. I know that I would miss Indie Auto.”
Your financial support and words of encouragement are greatly appreciated. My intent is to keep chugging along — and turn Indie Auto into a financially sustainable auto history website. So know that you will be seeing more fundraising appeals throughout the year.
Of course, you don’t need to wait until the next appeal. If you value what we’re doing here, please consider showing your support (go here).
Keeping up with broken links
To keep costs down I haven’t yet subscribed to a service that tells me when Indie Auto has broken links. That means I need to do link maintenance the old-fashioned way (which is okay because I’m an old-fashioned kind of guy).
For example, this morning I noticed that my links to the Society of Automotive Historians weren’t working properly, so I fixed them. I have also been gradually updating and expanding the “Bibliography of Links” page.
If you are frustrated by a broken link, don’t feel shy about telling me in the comment thread or sending me a message (go here).
